Wireless and sorta loving it

i am now wireless! Got a new laptop yesterday for work (thanks to dad and Jason). HP pavillion dv2220.

I have really turned into a computer geek this week so i'll tell you the stats on the computer: AMD Turion 64 x 2 1.8 ghz processor, 2 gb ram, 160 gb hard drive, 14.1 widescreen. Here is the one negative. it runs Vista. Jason warned me and even though I hate admitting that he was right, he was. I won't go into the details (I'm probably blacklisted from microsoft call center) but if you have the choice between XP and Vista go with XP. But overall I love it. and it's pretty. such a girlly thing to say. After an entire day of cussing at the wireless router and yelling and microsoft techs I finally have it set up.

yeah me!

Mommy, what's traffic?

One thing I absolutely hate about living in Atlanta is the traffic.

Here is a pic of our typical ride home everyday.

At least Bryce usually naps on the way home. He usually falls asleep before we hit 85 and sleeps until I pull in the driveway. Wish I could nap everyday on the way home!

Callie is usually good in the car and doesn't complain too much. The ride today, however, left her pretty crabby. This is a rare thing for her so I had to capture it on film.

What Was I Thinking

Should you be walking through Wal-Mart and you happen to see this Nerf gun, do not buy it for a three year old. It might seem like a cute idea. It isn't. Three year olds, nerf guns, and dogs do not mix. Can you tell a three year old that the Easter bunny needs to take the gun back to Santa due to a recall? Just wondering.

It's Not Easy Being Green

It is officially spring. For those of you from the south you know the final sign of springs arrival. Pollen. Green Pollen everywhere. Everything outdoors (cars, furniture, driveways) takes on a yellowish green tint. There is no escaping it and if you are allergic to it watch out!
Even with the pollen we had a beautiful weekend. Mid-eighties, sunny, with a slight breeze. Can't beat it.
Saturday Bryce had another soccer game. This week He decided he was going to play football instead of soccer and he started to fall on the ball attempting to take out other kids. Didn't matter if they were on our team or the other team. At least he is starting to get more aggressive. Callie loved watching all the kids play.
Today Bryce sang at the church where he goes to preschool. We didn't think he would actually get up front and sing, but he proved us all wrong. I'm starting to figure out that kids do that alot!
(That's Bryce on the end in the blue. The little boy next to him is in his class and we swear they could be twins. They also love to getting into trouble together. Picture Dennis the Menace times two)

25-50th Percentile

Today was Callie's nine month appointment. I can't believe that she is already nine months! She is doing great and growing right on target. She is currently in the 25-50th percentile for weight and height. Now, if you have seen her lately you will find this humorous. Everyone that I have told today has laughed hysterically and said that it must be wrong (she looks like she would be in the 90th percentile for weight). She looked adorable too by the way (Thanks to grandma's job at gymboree).

Bryce was a trooper (thank God for my video ipod) and was happy to "help" the doctor check her out.

I'm off to face traffic on 85. Nothing like riding for 45min in traffic with a three year old and a nine month old. Let the good times roll!!

I'm Ready for a Motorcycle

Today was a "first" day for Bryce. We all went to the playground at the front of the neighborhood this evening. I pushed Callie in the stoller and Bryce rode his "big boy bike". His first bike trip. And it was a very successful one at that. It took a lot longer then a normal stroll to the playground but was well worth the extra minutes. We picked up one of his friends along the way and he was so proud of himself when she told him how "cool" his bike was. When we got home we all made a big fuss over how great he did. He even got a cupcake as a treat. As I was tucking him into bed he told me that while riding the bike was fun, he would much rather ride a motorcycle. Like father like son.
I am still trying to figure out this blogging thing. Here is my first attempt at including pictures.

Lauren (Aunt RoRo to Bryce) took these while she was here last weekend.

Blogging for Dummies

So here I go. It seems like EVERYONE has a blog these days so I decided to try it out myself. Not that I have such an interesting life that people will be sitting on pins and needles everyday waiting for a new entry. There are funny moments everyday. Moments that people say you should really write that down so you will remember it one day. Bryce fishing in his fish tank, Callie laughing hysterically at Bryce as he throws a tantrum. You know those moments. So this is me writing them down. And all of you get a brief glimpse into my beautifully chaotic life.

So starting a blog sounded easy enough. Yeah right. First of all you have to come up with a creative, catchy name that no one else has thought of. Next you have to pick a template, customize it, set up your settings, etc. I need to read blogging for dummies because that is exactly how I feel!

Thats it for now. It's already taken forever just to get this much done. And Maxi decided to poop in Bryce's room after he went to bed. Nothing like cleaning up dog poop in the dark.

Good night
