pretty

We were watching tv today when a commercial about some shampoo came on. you know the kind....pretty girl spins around in slow motion with her hair twirling behind her. Bryce Says "you know what mom? She's pretty...but not as pretty as you". My heart melted. and then he says "Daddy taught me that the other day. He thinks your pretty too.". My day instantly got better.

Are they here for me?

When we got to Bryce's classroom today his teacher said "Bryce, hurry and put your stuff away. We need to get ready to go see the policeman". Bryce got this really worried look on his face and said "the policeman is here?, Is he here to arrest me? I promise I won't get in trouble today!!".
His teacher did a good job at not laughing. I, however, had to leave the room I was laughing so hard.

my little frog

I was cleaning out some old baby clothes from Bryce this week. I found all of his old Halloween costumes and was putting them all together in a bin when Callie spotted his frog costume (his costume from age 2). she pointed at it and started pulling off her shoes. It took a minute but i realized that she was wanting to put it on. it was one of my favorite all time costumes so I figured why not. She looked so adorable! and she must have realized how cute it looked because she is refusing to take it off!! every time I take it off of her she screams and cries. when she isn't wearing it she carries it around. and when she does have it on, she insists that the hood be on her headCute and first...now not so much. I thought I would share some pictures from tonight. I think our laid back little girl is developing a stubborn streak just like her brother!!

It's not awful

Bryce has started talking like an adult. I am not kidding, he speaks like he is 25. and he talks constantly. if you doubt me just give my friend Aimee (the one we just visited in AZ) a call. it only took her one car ride to realize he never shuts up. Here is my favorite conversation from the week.
I am redoing Bryce's room. I ordered a bunch of road signs (Stop, detour, one-way, etc) to hang on the wall. I showed them to Bryce and he just kinda shurgged. the next day we had the below conversation.
Me: Bryce, come upstairs and see your room. Your daddy and I hung up your new signs!
Bryce: Not now mom, I'm playing the motorcycle game (yes...my 4 yr old plays playstation)
Me: I really want you to see your room. Put the game down and come check it out
Bryce: Do I have to?
Me: Yes. your going to love it
Bryce: fine (he then proceeds to walk up stairs and walks into his room)
Me: What do you think?
Bryce: Wow mom! It looks nice! I thought it was going to be awful but it's great. Thanks!!

What 4 year old uses the word awful?

February Rewind

I have been an awful blogger lately. and believe me it is not because there has been nothing to blog about! It's just that we have been super busy. Here is a run down from the past month along with some pics.

We went to Arizona to visit one of my best friends. It was such a great trip. I was really worried about the plane ride but they did great! Bryce even got to sit in the pilot's seat for a photo op. My friend Aimee has 3 kids and 2 dogs so needless to say it was constant chaos (but in a really fun way!). Her entire family ended up coming down with the flu and I felt so bad leaving them so sick! This leads to...

Callie had pneumonia!! As soon as I got back from AZ I took her straight to the doctor to get her Tamiflu (since she had been exposed to the flu). They told me she just had a virus and to watch her. Fast forward one week, back at the same doctor's office, but now with a diagnosis of pneumonia. Thank goodness she responded quickly to the breathing treatments and the antibiotic and she is all better. I, however, am still trying to catch up on all of the missed sleep.

Callie had her 3rd photo shoot for Macy's. This one went really well (no tears, nose picking, or bleeding). As soon as the catalogs start coming out I will post them. and she doesn't even know she is putting herself through college!

Bryce started TBall and it is very, very, serious. They practice 2hrs twice a week! Seriously I think they are crazy thinking they can keep a 4 year olds attention for that long.

Thats it for now. Check back soon. I promise to do a better job from now on.

Giants Win!!

I can't believe that the Giant's won!! and it was such a great game. I grew up liking the Giants, not a hard thing to do when you live in NJ not far from NYC. Bryan and I were screaming like crazy the last 2 min of the game. and that is hard for me to do right now considering I've been fighting a really bad cold / flu bug.

I promise to catch everyone up on whats been going on as soon as I'm not feeling like I got hit by a truck. We had a great trip to Arizona and I can't wait to share the pics.
